Currently 40% of our fourth graders do not read at grade level. The problem starts in the preschool years. Too few young children enter kindergarten ready to learn to read. Make a gift today to help millions of children learn to read!

Your gift will be an important contribution toward solving America's reading crisis. The key to improving a child's reading success is to identify potential reading problems before kindergarten and to foster early literacy skills before learning to read becomes a problem. Your contribution will reduce the number of children who don't get the help they need to learn to read.

Help all children succeed. Make a donation today. The start of the school year is a time for great excitement. Unfortunately, for children with reading problems, whether in first grade or higher, it can be a time of frustration and failure.

Your generous gift of $35, $50, $100 (or whatever you can afford) will help all children succeed in learning to read and write.

The Get Ready to Read! initiative is a nationwide campaign to bring vital information about early literacy skills to parents of preschool children and early childhood educators. It was launched by the National Center for Learning Disabilities to ensure that all preschool children receive the support and education they need to be ready to learn to read in elementary school.

The National Center for Learning Disabilities is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to NCLD are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law.
